Job Overview
As a Concierge Service Specialist (Caregiver) at Engage Home Care, LLC, you will be responsible for delivering non-medical, hands-on assistance to clients in their homes. Your role will involve providing compassionate care and offering personalized support with daily living activities. Your responsibilities will include light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, assistance with personal hygiene, and other concierge-style services that promote comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, encouraging social interaction and engaging in activities that promote mental stimulation.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals based on the client’s dietary needs and preferences. Assist with feeding if necessary.
- Housekeeping: Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
- Mobility Assistance: Aid clients with mobility needs, including transferring from bed to chair, walking assistance, or using mobility aids.
- Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time, and remind them to follow their healthcare provider’s instructions.
- Errands and Transportation: Assist clients with running errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to medical appointments or social events.
- Care Plan Support: Follow the care plan created for each client based on their unique needs and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate person.
- Safety and Monitoring: Monitor the well-being of clients and report any changes in health or behavior to the CEO.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate care note records of services provided, including time sheets, daily reports, and any changes in client condition.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications in caregiving or home health aide training are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build trusting and supportive relationships with clients.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the care plan.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude.
- Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license and clean driving record if transportation is required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist with mobility, and be on your feet for extended periods.
Work Environment
- This position requires working in clients’ homes, which may involve travel to different locations.
- The work environment will vary based on client needs and preferences, but you should be prepared to adapt to different home settings.
- The role may require working weekends, evenings, and holidays based on client schedules.
